Every Child Deserves a Champion. BE a Champion!
Welcome back AIS family! This year is off to a running start and we have embraced the Champion Mindset! There are so many awesome things going on at AIS this year and we are honored to serve your children. We want to ensure that we are supporting the qualities that you have already instilled in your children at home and partner with you to be the best they can be.
To motivate, inspire and empower learners today………leaders tomorrow!
We want students to be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, PROBLEM SOLVERS and learn everything they can to become the leaders of tomorrow. We have high expectations and will work hard to motivate, inspire and empower them to meet their full potential!
Alvarado Intermediate students will learn the Growth mindset, Resilience, Integrity and Tenacity (GRIT) to achieve their goals and dreams in a challenging global society!
Learning is about taking risks, allowing students to create, think, succeed, fail, and preserve to grow their abilities! We want students to understand that it is the process of learning that matters most. True GRIT is what allows us to keep trying, keep striving for our goals and dreams. We want our students to understand that everyone has areas of growth! Instead of saying, “I can’t multiply” we want students to say “I can’t multiply, yet!” That one word “yet” sets the student up for permission to learn and grow!
Expect Success! No Exceptions. No Excuses.
We have to expect that we will succeed in order to get in the right mindset to be successful. If a football team went into the game not expecting to win, it is likely that they will lose. They may have to work harder, run faster, adjust the game plan and use strong teamwork, but the expectation would be that they will win. It is no different in the classroom. We will expect success and do everything that we can to help the student find improvement and success!
We are looking forward to a year of growth and partnership with parents for our students to find their own success! Please check our web page often as your main source of information at AIS.
