Miss White

Daria White

Daria White is a third year band teacher, and is excited to be a part of the band staff at Alvarado ISD. She is the Assistant Band Director at both Alvarado Junior High and High School, and is the primary Band Director for the Symphonic Band and Flute and Sax Class at the Junior High, and the Flute and Oboe Classes at Alvarado Intermediate School. She also serves as the Assistant Band Director for the other performing ensembles offered in Alvarado ISD, including the Alvarado Golden Warrior Band.

Mrs. White attended Rockwall High School, and upon graduating went to Texas A&M University-Commerce. There, she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While attending the university, Daria White (then Smetana) studied flute with Dr. Julee Walker, conducting with Mr. Phillip Clements, and participated in the Symphonic and the Pride Marching Bands. In her spare time, Mrs. White likes to read and is working on her art skills in order to eventually write her own graphic novel. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Kyle White cooking, playing games, and more.

Daria White is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Sigma Alpha Iota.

Kelli Wilson

     Ms. Wilson is in her 7th year of teaching and her second year as the Head Director of Alvarado Junior High School.  She has served as the Assistant Director for both AJHS and AHS in multiple facets.  Under her direction, the AJHS and AHS Symphonic Bands have received the UIL Sweepstakes awards and multiple first division ratings.  Ms. Wilson is also the 6th grade beginning band clarinet and saxophone teacher at Alvarado Intermediate School.

      Ms. Wilson holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas where she graduated with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude.  While at UNT, she studied clarinet with Mrs. Deborah Fabian, participated in the Green Brigade Marching band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band and was the conductor of the Secondary Band.  Her professional affiliations include: Texas Music Educator's Association, Association of Texas Small School Bands, and Mu Phi Epsilon. 

When Ms. Wilson is not at the band hall you may spot her running in the wild or spending time with her adorable miniature poodles.

 Danielle Fisher

Danielle Fisher comes to Alvarado from the University of North Texas where she received a masters degree in Music Education with a focus on composing music for young musicians in the small and large ensemble setting. Herself a horn player, Danielle is drawn to write for wind players and her pieces enjoy frequent performances by her many friends and students in the field of wind music. Before beginning her band directing career, Fisher managed a large studio of trumpet and horn students in the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex where she still enjoys an active freelance career. 

Fisher was one of the founding members of the Maryland Wind Festival, where she serves as the Staff Arranger and french horn player. Now approaching its 6th season, MWF is a festival of wind chamber music and educational outreach based in Frederick and Hagerstown, Maryland and their surrounding communities. The festival brings together an international ensemble of performers, who perform every summer as the Maryland Chamber Winds for an annual concert series and educational outreach program. Before moving to Texas in 2013, Danielle grew up in Normal, IL where she received dual degrees in Music Education and Composition/Theory from Illinois State University. She has studied composition privately with David Maslanka, David Feurzeig, Martha Horst, and Kirsten Broberg. She also started spent much of her time in Illinois performing with and directing multiple colorguard and winterguard programs. 

In her free time, Danielle enjoys exploring new coffee shops, rescuing stray animals, and gardening with her two cats, Harley & Penny.

John Rindom
John Rindom

John Rindom has been an Assistant Band Director at Alvarado High School since 2003.  Mr. Rindom directs the AHS Percussion Ensemble as well as assisting with the Marching Band.  He also coordinates the percussion sections and assists with bands throughout the Alvarado Independent School District.  Prior to teaching in Alvarado, he spent 5 years in Azle and 7 years in Mineral Wells.

Mr. Rindom, a native of Emporia, Kansas received his Bachelor's of Music Education Degree from the University of North Texas and his Master's of Music Education Degree from Texas A&M University - Commerce.  He has been married to his wife Nichole since 2001 and they have a wonderful son, Dane and a daughter, Gwynn.  Nichole has been the Music teacher at Godley Elementary since 2004.

  In addition to Mr. Rindom's love of music, he enjoys traveling to far away places with his family.
